Musical Montage:

About the Title:
When Travis first played the title track to us, I (Eric) felt that it sounded like the music that would accompany a musical montage about technology. These musical montages were common to such shows as Sesame Street and often featured minimalistic compositions presumably by Philip Glass. The piano introduction conjured up time lapse clips of traffic driving at night, with red and white snakes of light being created by the cars’ head and tail lights.

About the Artwork:
All of the pictures taken for the album were created months apart and with no intention of a common theme. The 3 pictures on the back cover fit together effortlessly, and the picture on the front is reminiscent of the time lapse traffic scene I created for you above.

More about Musical Montages:
We always comment on our mutual desire to accomplish great feats in the blink of an eye. For example, learning German, building a go-cart, or painting a house seemed to only take 30 seconds when accompanied by music on such television shows as Saved By The Bell.
