Golden Slumbers!

Sunday, April 27th, 2008
Wow, Golden Slumbers were what we had last night after that amazing show.  I think we all can safely say that last night was one our most fun shows ever.  The energy and the crowd were amazing.

Inuit Jargon’s show was one for the story books and Yanni’s Girlfriend’s revenge was a great surprise ending.

Also, Captain 1 and Other Books making it to town right before show time had us worried, but we were happy to have them playing along. They had some of the coolest merch I’ve ever seen.

I think we all had so much fun.  Thanks to everyone for coming out and foresaking their exam preparation!

If you are graduating and that was your last night out with us, we hope you have enjoyed the show.

Wesley Snipes and a Dream I had

Thursday, April 24th, 2008
Today, Wesley Snipes and his entourage walked right past me behind my office.  It was pretty crazy.  Anyways, 3 massive black SUV’S with limo tint
dropped the main man off today to be sentenced in Federal Court in
Ocala.

I went down to the courthouse entrance to visit a friend who writes
for the Star Banner and snapped this shot.

I hope you catch the irony.  (if you don’t, Wesley Snipes starred in a movie called US Marshalls).

the best part was the press wasn’t allowed to cross the line, but i
walked back and forth unscathed along with local vagrants.

I even did a video interview with the Star Banner, mostly focusing on how I don’t believe celebrities should face the same punishments as average citizens and how they’ve reached such an upper echelons of society the rest of us can only dream of.  Evidently, in a fit of attempted humor (for the benefit of my friend at the paper), I expressed my intention of running against my boss in the upcoming elections for Public Defender.

Next, I want to share a weird dream I had last night (also coincidentally involving my boss).  We were on the set of a Burger King commercial starring U2.  Bono was laying in a bed in a room with all white furniture and sheets and curtains and he was wearing all white. A whopper was sitting on a white plate on top of the white bedside table and he kept kissing it on the side (as if the buns were lips) and getting ketchup all over his face.  I then proceeded to have a conversation with Adam Clayton about vegetarianism.

Everyone I’ve told so far says it’s a great commercial idea.  How about it science?

April Fools!

Wednesday, April 2nd, 2008
So, I don’t like pulling April Fools pranks b/c you lie to your friends, make them worry for no reason and then laugh at them, and are typically an all out terrible person.  Therefore, I am laying the blame on this solely on Chris.

Chris still has all 10 fingers, and may even have 11.  If you see Inigo Montoya, please let him know.

Chris initially posted this pictures on his Facebook page and he actually had me going to the point of a phone call and a text message.  As soon as I sent the text message, though, I realized it was April 1st and that he was a terrible liar person.

So, I thought I’d make him look like even more of an ass by posting them up here.
I actually got two phone calls from friends expressing concern.  One was from Evan of Umoja Orchestra who, bless his heart, told me which of our local shows he could play on in the upcoming months.

See, Chris, Evan is a good person.  He doesn’t make people get scared for no reason!
